    Perguntas como “Qual língua falaremos no céu?” ou “Qual é a língua dos anjos?” podem parecer engraçadas ou complexas, mas para elas só existem duas alternativas de resposta: ou será o Plattdeutsch—dialeto alemão falado especialmente pelos menonitas e que, segundo eles, leva-se uma eternidade para aprender; ou terá de ser o inglês, já que os americanos têm se mostrado incapazes de aprender um segundo idioma. Brincadeiras à parte, o fato é que a obsessão com o aprendizado de inglês chega a conferir-lhe uma aura angelical.
